Pay Monthly Phones or Pay as You Go ?  Which one will you choose

There are so many enticing deals being offered to cut off your monthly bill. Some of the popular are pay as you go and pay monthly phones.  If you are coming to the end of contract phones and reconsidering your options, or are just sick of your old handset, deciding whether to go with a pay monthly contract or a pay as you go mobile phone is a tough decision to make.

You can get the latest handsets for little or no cost, with loads of added extras thrown in including free minutes, free internet access and email, text messages (depending on the network and tariff you choose) . If you are relatively new to mobile phones as it allows you to keep track of how much money you are spending, and how many text messages and minutes of call-time you are using. Pay as you go is the best option for you. Using pay as you go you will save money by only paying for what you use. This is essential if you are not a frequent caller or texter.

The great thing about pay as you go; there is no contract agreement between you and the provider. You just only pay for the phone and the SIM card and you are then free to top up your phone with credit whenever you like (there is no need to wait until the end or beginning of a month, like you would with a monthly contract deal). You can also upgrade or trade in your phone whenever you want to.

Pay Monthly Phone

This option could work out a lot cheaper than being on a monthly contract, and is ideal for those who don’t call or text excessively, if  you a non-frequent phone user. But simply want to be reachable by friends and family

Pay monthly:

If you are a person who have a regular routine in terms of calling and texting, or who know exactly how much of their allowance they will use in any given month. It is simple to manage, as a Direct Debit is set up in order to pay your monthly bill each month, meaning that you don’t have to remember to pay, or take a trip to the shops especially to buy a top-up voucher.

Now, you can get the latest handsets with monthly contract for as little as £25 a month, and when you work out how many text messages and inclusive minutes you get with the bundle, it works out as great value.

Pay Monthly deals are renowned for being very flexible; you can tailor your contract to suit your needs, including lots of texts if you prefer to send a quick message or lots of minutes if you like to call people. On a pay monthly contract, because you sign up the contract deal  you must pay each month for the duration of at least one year, you can get  a greater range of phones available to choose from, unlike with pay as you go, and most networks offer around 50% of their phones for free when you sign up for a contract.

After looked at the two options you can comparing them and seeing what the drawbacks of each option are, it might equip you more fully with making your decision. Payment for a monthly contract phone is easier than having to top up every time if you using pay as you go phone but  monitoring your usage on a monthly contract isn’t quite so easy

Something to take into consideration when deciding to take up a monthly contract is an excess charge you have incurred  when  you use  the phone  over the limit. Exceeding your included minutes and texts can be costly, and you will only find out how much of an excess charge you have incurred at the end of the month when your bill comes through.

When you sign up contract deal  another thing to remember is  you are required to pay a monthly fee for the duration of at least 12months (depending on the tariff and network) - meaning that in this time you are unable to change the conditions of your contract, including upgrading your phone.

Otherwise, if you decide to get a pay as you go phone you must buy the phone outright. It means  you must to pay  as a retail price. Furthermore  if you end up using more minutes and text messages than planned, a pay as you go tariff can prove to be more expensive than if you used the same amount of minutes and texts with a pay monthly deal.

Finally,  the option  is depending  on you requirement. Both options have a lot to offer, and great amounts of money can be saved.
